James Penny
James joined Industry Media in January 2009 having been a partner at Arthur Cox in Belfast where he advised film and television producers.
He has previously been Head of Business Affairs at ITV Productions, responsible for drama and comedy programmes as well as feature films such as 'The Queen'. James has considerable experience helping construct UK and international co-productions.
James trained and qualified as a media lawyer at Reed Smith LLP during which time he was seconded to MTV Europe and then Channel 4. He studied law at Durham University and has a Postgraduate Diploma from King’s College, London in UK, EC and US Laws of Copyright and Related Rights. James is also a board member of Northern Ireland Screen.
